  • Gene Berkowitz provides an extensive library of TPU information including mirrors of much of the (nearly impossible to find) information hidden deep in the bowels of Freescale's website. This includes an electronic copy of the ORIGINAL TPU USER MANUAL!. This is the manual you want, but that has not been available from Freescale for half a decade! Also included is a collection of TPU application notes and tools.
  • Lauterbach sells a TPU debugger, along with a host of other non-TPU tools such in-circuit emulators, RTOS's, etc.

  • The name "Eric McRae" is synonymous with TPU. Perhaps the worlds' most proficient and prolific TPU microcoding consultant, Eric has won numerous design contests in this arena. Eric runs a consulting form, Electro Logic Machines, Inc., which specializes in a number of areas including TPU microcoding. Eric also has a library of TPU microcoding functions, some of which are freeware as well as additional information regarding the TPU and writing custom TPU microcode.

  • ADM Designs LLC specializes in embedded hardware and software design. Hardware expertise in the areas of motor control, microcontrollers, FPGA's, board layout, etc. Software expertise in both assembly and "C". This is a small company that provides a complete solution.

  • Zoltan Kocsi of Bendor Research, LTD wrote a free (free as in speech, not as in beer) TPU assembler named TAS. Click here to download. At the time of this posting this assembler supports only TPU1 (not TPU2 or TPU3.)
